About Tove Skogheim
I have been part of aviation since 1986 when I started my education to become a pilot, a childhood dream.
I got my first commercial pilot engagement in 1988. Since then, I have worked for, Widerøe-Norsk Air and Braathen’s Safe, which Scandinavian Airline bought in 2004. I was already a captain on Boeing 737 when we got transferred to SAS. In addition to line check commander and Chief Pilot.
Unfortunately, I lost my medical in 2015 due to a serious incident with my mountain bike. New doors opened, and I gained experience from many “sides of the table” through CAA in Norway, both as inspector and later Head of flight operation section.
In 2021 I was so fortunate to join Norse Atlantic Airways as Accountable Manager, and together with my great team, we managed to get all approvals within record short timeline, and in June 2022 Norse had its inaugural flight from Oslo to Fort Lauderdale, USA.

With all these positions, and the experience and knowledge I have gained, I decided to share this on a broader horizon, and founded my own company in the spring of 2023. I added on some additional education and became certified SMS expert at the same time.
SMS might seem complicated and complex. With my operational experience in combination with both CAA, Accountable Manager and theoretical training, makes it “easier” to share and contribute to a more practical approach. Either you are an inspector within CAA, or you hold whatever position with a service provider.
